Inspiring Excellence in Endoscopy: A Recap of INSPIRE.U 2025

The INSPIRE.U Workshop 2025, themed “Empowering Endoscopy: Mastery Across Borders,” successfully concluded on 1–2 November 2025 at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre (CCEC), Nexus Bangsar South.

Over the course of two days, the workshop brought together a distinguished assembly of international and local experts, healthcare professionals, and industry partners with a shared commitment to advancing endoscopic practice through education, innovation, and collaboration.

The programme featured a series of comprehensive learning sessions, ranging from expert-led discussions to live case demonstrations broadcast from the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). Participants gained first-hand insights into evolving endoscopic techniques and technologies, witnessing real-time procedural excellence that continues to shape the future of gastroenterology.

The lion dance performance at INSPIRE.U 2025 was joined by Prof. Sanjiv, Director of Endoscopy Unit at UMMC, and David Zhang, Senior Vice President of MICRO-TECH, marking an auspicious and celebratory start to the workshop while honoring the partnership between healthcare and industry.

The palm activation ceremony at INSPIRE.U 2025 was officiated by Prof. Sanjiv (Director of Endoscopy, UMMC), Prof. Ida (President of MSGH), Assoc. Prof. Chuah(Course Director Of Inspire.U 2025) and Micro-Tech leadership, symbolizing collaboration and progress in advancing endoscopic education.

We showcased our latest endoscopic solutions and technologies, supporting clinicians in achieving greater precision and excellence in therapeutic practice.

Delegates enjoyed interactive activities at the INSPIRE.U 2025 Game Booth, featuring Darts, Gashapon, and Wheel of Fortune challenges designed to enhance product knowledge in a fun and engaging way. Participants who completed all games stood a chance to win exciting prizes, adding an interactive dimension to the learning experience.

Delegates at INSPIRE.U 2025 observed live ERCP, EUS, and ESD case demonstrations, led by distinguished faculty and attended by overseas experts from China, Hong Kong, and Japan. The live cases provided a unique opportunity to witness advanced endoscopic techniques, clinical decision-making, and patient management in real time. Participants gained practical insights into the use of MICRO-TECH accessories and technologies, while international experts shared their experiences, perspectives, and best practices. These interactive demonstrations fostered rich discussions, enabling delegates to enhance their understanding of complex procedures and stay updated on the latest innovations in gastroenterology.

The workshop dinner at INSPIRE.U 2025 celebrated the contributions of faculty, delegates, and partners, honoring their role in making the event a success while providing a platform for networking and collaboration.

The eyeMAX Hands-on Session concluded the second day of INSPIRE.U 2025, led by Prof. Alex Leow (Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur), Prof. Chuah (UMMC), and Dr. Lee (Hospital Selayang).

Participants engaged in practical demonstrations and guided exercises designed to refine technical skills and enhance familiarity with cholangioscopic handling. This interactive session provided an invaluable opportunity for delegates to translate theoretical knowledge into practical competence under expert supervision.

INSPIRE.U 2025 successfully brought together leading experts, clinicians, and industry partners in a dynamic exchange of knowledge, experience, and innovation. Through live demonstrations, scientific discussions, and interactive sessions, the workshop reinforced the importance of continuous learning and collaboration in advancing endoscopic practice.
